Quick start
TIDE running.
The shortest way from the zip to TIDE running in Chrome or on a simulator. TIDE needs no account, no key and no backend to start. If Flutter is not installed yet, do Requirements first.
01Before you start
flutter --versionanswers and shows Flutter 3.41 or newer (Dart 3.11).flutter doctorshows no red errors for the platform you want to try (Chrome is the fastest).
Nothing to sign up for
TIDE runs on public, keyless endpoints out of the box: Jupiter for swaps, Dexscreener for prices and a public Solana RPC. They are rate-limited and fine for a first look, not for production. You add your own endpoint later (Configuration).
02The ten minutes
- Unzip and open a terminalPut the folder somewhere without spaces, for example
~/projects/tide, andcdinto it. - Install packages
flutter pub get - Run it in Chrome
Or start an iOS simulator or Android emulator first and runflutter run -d chromeflutter run. - Check the code (optional)
Both should finish without errors. One test needs a Git repository; runflutter analyze flutter testgit init && git add . && git commit -m originalfirst (why).
03What you should see
- The welcome screen with Create a wallet and an import option. Create a test wallet and write the seed phrase down; it is a test wallet, but treat it like a real one.
- The feed is empty. Nothing is pre-loaded: paste any Solana address into the search box and follow it.
- The swap confirm sheet says App fee: None. That is expected: the fee is off until you set it (Setting up earnings).
- On the web build the SOL balance loads but SPL token balances do not, until you set your own RPC endpoint. The wallet screen says so (why).
